Molly was bred in British Columbia, Canada. She began her career as a hunter-jumper. At age 12, she was purchased by the parents of a young rider and retrained for dressage. Molly successfully competed in FEI Children Division events with scores to 71.66%. She reached 3rd level, and was training 4th level movements. At her stable, she was dubbed the "lateral work queen."
Joy Erickson, our Personnel Manager, imported Molly to the United States in 2010. As a 3rd level schoolmaster and a safe mount, Molly enabled Joy, then in her 60s, to improve her dressage riding; ride canter half pass and working canter pirouette for the first time; and generally enjoy her "fancy" mare.
Joy donated Molly to the BEC lesson program in the fall of 2015. Molly is a wonderful lesson horse - safe for beginners but also a pleasure for advanced riders desiring to move up the levels.
Riding student, Elisabeth Alexander, experiences half pass at the trot for her first time!
