Wildfire

Maverick got tired of "riding Swedish" when he was 10 years old and wanted a Quarter Horse so he could be a "cowboy" and ride Western (Western Dressage, of course). That's when we found Wildfire. She had been a gaming horse and was also used for train robbery reeneactments where she didn't mind racing alongside the steam engine with blanks shooting off all around her. But the family was getting into Morgans so she was available!

Wildfire is a ranch bred mare from Iowa where she was started on cattle before she was sold as a 4 year old to her previous owners. Maverick took her on two real cattle roundups and she was great. We trained her for dressage, both English and Western, and jumping and cross country. She's been part of the Quadrille team and an all around super asset to the lesson program going to many schooling shows and 4H camp with some of our students.

Her pedigree is a nice combination of "all 'rounders" who excelled as performance horses, halter horses, racing, Western Pleasure and includes the versatile Charley Dickens who also was shown in English Pleasure.
