Slew is the first mare to ever foal at BEC. She was previously owned by SEJ racing stables and we were foaling out their mares for the MNbred program. Slew is absolutely beautiful and has classic Thoroughbred conformation. She very much resembles her grandsire Seattle Slew and has an elegant, pretty head with characteristics reminiscent of the Arabian influence of the TB breed.

Slew produced Musical Sharon, by Musical Chairs, who had enough earnings in one year that Musical Chairs was named "Leading Freshman Sire Minnesota Breds 2008" with just one runner! Slew produced other race horse for SEJ stables before becoming part of the BEC breeding program. She is the dam of Saffron, a filly by Bayron who we hope to breed this year to Figaro. The photos show her with Saffron at the Swedish inspection. Slew's babies always inherit her good temperament and we are looking forward to her 2016 foal by Figaro!
