Mia

Mia's sire, Master, an Elite SWB stallion, is sire of several offspring who competed in Gran Prix dressage, including the Olympics, and was Stallion of the Year in 2008 in Sweden. Every Gran Prix competition he entered, he won.

Mia was bred by Swedish trainer, Lisbeth Bengtsson, who competed Mia's dam, Helle, to win the title USDF Region 4 Training Level Horse of the Year in 1994. Helle's sire, Leopard, was one of the stallions imported to the USA to act as a foundation for the breed in the States. He is by the Elite SWB sire Urbino. Helle was bred by Bo Crabo, DVM, PhD, from Sweden, former president of SWANA, owner of Grey Crow Farm, and retired professor of Animal Science from the University of Minnesota. Her dam is Hera, a mare imported from Sweden by Dr. Crabo, whose sire is the Danish Warmblood stallion Conrad Lennestved DLH.
